What is the Annual General Meeting?

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for Canadian medical students to get together and discuss important issues pertaining to medical education, advocacy, global health, wellness, and more. Join the conversation, get involved — we want to hear from you!

Registration information

  • ALL attendees of the CFMS Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 must complete this registration form.

  • All AGM 2023 attendants will receive a 2-weeks access code from AMBOSS and there will be a draw for a 3-months access code.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES:

  • All Travel Equity Fund (TEF) and CFMS-funded delegates: August 11th at 11:59pm EST
  • All other attendees: August 31st at 11:59pm EST
  • Limited number of tickets may sell out, so we encourage registering well before the deadline!

Registration Fees:

  • Registration fee is $150.00 per delegate. This fee includes AGM attendance, meals and social events provided by CFMS (see agenda).
  • The fee does not include hotel accommodations. Students must arrange for their own hotels (excluding CFMS-funded delegates).

Placeholder Tickets:

(if your school is planning to fund a delegate who has not yet been elected for their position)

  • You must still register and pay for a "placeholder" spot by the deadline August 31st, as spaces are limited and no accommodations will be made for registering after the deadline has passed
  • First name: Placeholder, Last name: School + Position
  • Please send an email to [email protected] to confirm their personal details (name, etc.) as soon as possible once elected

CFMS-MDFM Travel Equity Funding (TEF)

Never been to a CFMS meeting? Interested in getting involved? Check out the CFMS-MDFM Travel Equity Funding! Each year the CFMS and MD Financial Management allocates funds to bring medical students to our annual meetings. It's a great way to learn more about what the CFMS does, get involved, and meet other medical students from across the country.

To be eligible for TEF a student has to

  • Opt-in for the TEF during registration
  • Be self-funded
  • Book their flights 5 weeks in advance (by August 11th)
  • Submit their reimbursement request within 14 days after AGM ends.

TEF is applicable for flights/transportation to and from Toronto only. TEF does not include accomodation, registration, ubers/taxis, etc.

CFMS Empower a Leader Program

Optional indentity-based questions can be found in the registration form for students. The purpose is for selection of individuals for supplemental funding from Sponsors seeking to support specific groups to attend this event as part of the CFMS Empower a Leader Program.

All information provided is confidential and only accessible by CFMS Staff members. Immediately after the event, all data will be de-identified and the original identity linked data will be deleted.
