The CFMS and MD Financial Management have set aside funds for the 2015-2016 academic year to provide financial assistance for CFMS member medical students who wish to attend our Spring General Meeting, held April 15-16, 2016 in Montreal, Quebec.

The University of Ottawa Journal of Medicine (UOJM) is now accepting submissions for our Spring 2016 issue on Preventive and Personalized Medicine. Submissions to our journal are free and the deadline is March 1st, 2016.  We accept original research, reviews, commentaries, news and letters, humanities, and interviews. The Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS) and Fédération médicale étudiante du Québec (FMEQ), who together represent all medical students in Canada, today released a list of ‘Six Things Medical Students Should Question’ as part of Choosing Wisely Canada. The list identifies six targeted, evidence-based recommendations that can support conversations about what care is really necessary.

The CFMS-FMEQ National Health and Wellbeing Survey, will be opening on November 23, so keep your eyes open for further notification, and please consider participating.

CMAJ is seeking medical students to peer review and help edit the Student Humanities Blog ( Peer reviewers will receive support and training from the CMAJ Editor, Humanities and the CMAJ Student Humanities Blog Editor. These are volunteer positions presenting the opportunity to learn about the editing process.
