About the CFMS
The CFMS is an organization representing over 8,000 medical students from 15 Canadian medical student societies from coast to coast. We represent medical students to the public, to the federal government, and to national and international medical organizations.
The CFMS is excited to announce the release of our CFMS Podcast Series. Our goal is to connect, support and represent our membership as they learn to serve patients and society through a new podcast platform. Our CFMS Podcasts is a collection of three separate series - CFMS Connection, Life as a Doctor To Be and Research in Medicine podcast series.
The CFMS Connection series features interviews of leaders in various fields related to medical education and professional development.
The Life as a Doctor To Be series aims at promoting wellness through shedding light on difficulties that medical students may encounter over the course of their training.
The Research in Medicine series showcases the exceptional clinician-scientists in our schools so that medical students may gain more insight into how research can be incorporated into their future careers.
Throughout the year, we’ll release a new episode from one of the three series every week.
