The CFMS stands on three pillars: The first is to provide our members with needed and affordable SERVICES for use during different stages of their medical school training. The second is to REPRESENT the national voice of Canadian medical students in any national or international body which can affect the nature of medical education in this country. Finally, the CFMS serves to facilitate and improve COMMUNICATION within the membership and, among our members and external organizations.
Vision:
Canadian Medical Students will experience a learning process which is fair, of high quality and responsive to their needs. Through the CFMS, students, will not only be informed of the changes which will affect their current training and future careers, but play an active role in shaping these changes. As a student run organization, the CFMS will create the best possible training system for future physicians, and by extension, contribute to the maintenance of a strong Canadian health care system.
